Abstract: It is an important way to prevent engineering disaster by using monitoring data to carry out tunnel collapse warning. On the basis of characteristic analysis of typical deformation monitoring curves, four stages of collapse deformation were summarized, and a quantitative early warning model with accumulated deformation, deformation rate and acceleration as the index was established. Then the level of safety management based on collapse precursor was determined. Combining quantitative monitoring with qualitative phenomena, a comprehensive early-warning model of tunnel collapse was established, which was applied to the tunnel engineering of Yakang Expressway. The application results showed that the model possessed better accuracy and practical value.
