The theme of this forum is 'Intelligent and Resilient Geotechnical and Underground Engineering.' The forum will explore recent research and advancements in the application of new concepts and technologies across the design, construction, operation, and maintenance stages of geotechnical and underground engineering. It aims to provide a platform for young geotechnical researchers to learn and exchange ideas. The forum will cover, but is not limited to, the following topics:
1. Resilient Design in Geotechnical and Underground Engineering
2. Intelligent Construction in Geotechnical and Underground Engineering
3. Intelligent Monitoring and Early Warning in Geotechnical and Underground Engineering
4. Enhancing Resilience of Geotechnical and Underground Infrastructure under Extreme Climate Conditions
5. New Developments and Challenges in the Underground Space Development of the Greater Bay Area
Forum Agenda
1. August 24, 2024, 14:00-17:00: Graduate Student Academic Presentation Competition for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Geotechnical and Underground Engineering
Graduate students who wish to participate in the competition are required to submit 'Attachment 1: Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Geotechnical and Underground Engineering Graduate Student Academic Presentation Competition Registration Form' to the email address fengwq@sustech.edu.cn by July 10, 2024. The final list of participants will be determined based on the number of registrations. The competition will offer 2 First prizes, 4 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes, and several excellence awards, with certificates and monetary prizes awarded to the winners.
2. August 24, 2024, 20:30-21:30: Guangdong Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Youth Committee Working Meeting
3. August 25, 2024, 9:00-15:00: Invited Presentations and Thematic Reports

Eighteen thematic reports are planned. Committee members who wish to participate in the thematic reports are requested to submit 'Attachment 2: Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Geotechnical Engineering Youth Scholar Forum Thematic Report Registration Form' to wy876633@163.com by July 10, 2024. The final arrangement of the reports will be determined based on the number of registrations.
Forum Registration
Registration Fee: No registration fee, and self-paid accommodation and transportation.
Registration Method: Be announced in the second notice.
