Abstract: Tunnel structural deformation was defined to include not only geometric deformation, but also elastic deformation of segments and rigid deformation induced by joint opening. To ensure the construction safety of superlargediameter shield tunnels and to address the technical challenge that a single monitoring method could not balance realtime performance and accuracy, a segment deformation monitoring algorithm based on real-time interaction between software and hardware was proposed. Strain and rotation angle data were fused by Kalman filtering to obtain realtime absolute convergence information of segments. The proposed algorithm was applied to the Jinan Yellow River Tunnel project and verified by laserscanning data. The results showed that the fusion algorithm could effectively suppress sensor noise, improve monitoring accuracy by over 30% compared to conventional methods, and achieve favorable realtime performance and stability. A new technical idea for deformation monitoring of large-diameter shield tunnels was thereby provided.
